Midcentury 1960s 'Volnay' Dining Table By John Herbert For A Younger

£725.00

A Younger Ltd was a British midcentury leader in the 1950s – 1960s, producing low volume, high-end pieces, often retailed through Heals.

In collaboration with John Herbert, it was one of the first to be influenced by its Scandinavian contemporaries.

Herbert worked with Younger for many years producing several prestige ranges of domestic furniture.

This particular table is from his highly regarded Volnay range and is made in afromosia, darker and more richly marked than regular teak.

The design is outstanding – refined and clean-lined.

From the single ‘plank’ table top with its curved sides to the way the tapered legs pour to the floor.

It’s supremely elegant.

Dimensions : 70 cm height - 198 cm long - 79 cm wide
